On March 8, Chinese Ambassador to Samoa Fei Mingxing held a reception for International Women's Day in the embassy. The event was attended by Her Highness Fa'amausili Leinafo Tuimaleali'ifano, Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Hon. Toelupe Poumulinuku Onesemo, Vice Chancellor and President of National University of Samoa, Dr. Tuifuisa'a Patila Amosa, and other female representatives.

Ambassador Fei extended warm greetings to everyone and introduced the development of women's cause in China. He praised the contributions of women from both countries. Female representatives of Chinese government scholarship, agricultural technology assistance project, and sewing training programs shared their experiences and reflections.

During the event, donations were also made to women's organizations in Samoa.
