On March 13, the fourth "Chinese Ambassador Scholarship" Awarding Ceremony was held at the National University of Samoa. Vice Chancellor and President of the National University of Samoa(NUS), Dr. Tuifuisa'a Patila Amosa, and Ambassador Fei Mingxing attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Vice President of NUS, Dr. Peseta Desmond Lee-Hang as well as student awardees and their family members, were also in attendance.
Ambassador Fei congratulated NUS on its 40th anniversary and expressed best wishes to the award-winning students. He also hoped that more students from the National University of Samoa, and young people from Samoa would seize the “Chinese Opportunities” which are also opportunities for the National University of Samoa, Samoa, and China-Samoa relations.
Dr. Amosa thanked China for its long-term support to NUS education and talents cultivation, and expressed willingness to continue promoting educational and cultural cooperation between Samoa and China.
