The Chinese Embassy in Samoa has updated its visa application requirements as follows:

1. Effective from 00:00 a.m., 24 August 2022, foreign nationals with valid APEC Business Travel Cards or foreign students holding valid Chinese residence permits for study are allowed to enter China with no need for applying for new visas.

2. For foreign students who intend to go to China for long-term academic education, new students can apply for study visas(X1) directly to the Embassy with the original and photocopy of the Admission Letter issued by a school in China, original and photocopy of "Visa Application for Study in China" (Form JW201 or Form JW202), while returning students can apply for study visas(X1) with documents issued by the school as the proof. Applications for short-term study visas(X2) are not accepted at the moment.
